Privacy Policy

In short: GeoMont does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. The app works entirely offline and declares no Android permissions — not even internet access.

GeoMont is developed and published by GEOSTYN, based in Belgium.

Data we do not collect
We do not collect your name, e-mail address, phone number, postal address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers or advertising IDs. We collect no usage statistics and no analytics. GeoMont contains no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs.
Data stored on your device only
So that the app is useful to you, the following is stored locally on your phone:
- Your preferences: language, theme, unit system, standard, site mode, vibration and where you left the calculator
- The calculation history you choose to save (maximum 50 entries)
- Your jobs and the cut list, if you use them
This information is kept using Android's local storage. It never leaves your device, we cannot see it, and it is completely removed when you uninstall the app. You can also clear the history at any time from the history screen.
Sensors
The Level / Inclinometer module reads your device's accelerometer in order to display the angle in real time. On Android this sensor requires no permission. The readings are processed in memory while the screen is open and are never stored or transmitted.
Sharing results
When you tap "share", the Android system share sheet opens and you choose the destination yourself (WhatsApp, e-mail, notes…). GeoMont only hands the result text to the operating system; it has no access to the app you pick or to what you do afterwards.
No purchases, no ads
GeoMont is free: it contains no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no advertising. It does not use Google Play Billing or any other payment service.
Children
GeoMont is a professional calculation tool. It is not directed at children under 13 and, since it collects no data at all, it processes no information about minors.
Your rights under the GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection regarding your personal data. Because GeoMont neither collects nor retains any personal data, we hold no information about you against which those rights could be exercised. The data stored on your device is under your sole control and you can remove it by clearing the history or uninstalling the app.
Changes to this policy
If a future feature ever requires processing data, we will update this policy and change the "last updated" date before that feature becomes available.
